Hey everyone. I haven't submitted a journal since last Thursday, which is almost a week ago so I guess there's quite a bit that's gone on. I wrote a journal on here yesterday night but then my dad came to pick me up and I was in a hurry to submit it, and in my hurry I nudged the computer desk and it hit the extension cord out of the outlet. Haha that sounds like it might be difficult to acheive, but this particular power outlet is really crappy and so the computer abruptly shutting off as a result of the outlet's crappiness is a fairly regular occurence. :] So anywho! Last Friday (I do believe it was) I went to Applebee's with Laura and Nikki. We walked there, and I love that restaurant, so it was great. Every time I go I get this "Zesty Ranch Chicken Sandwich". Haha yeah, I even remember the name. How special. Sorry if this journal is more pathetically detailed than usual; I'm in a writing mood, I guess. Since I have lots of time. I wish they wouldn't have such a weird adjective as "zesty" attached cause it's always like, wow, are you really going to make me say this? Haha but whatever. I don't mind THAT much. ^^ Then we walked to a few stores nearby. I don't think I did anything else that day. My dad picked me up later and my sister and I visited him. I finished reading my book, and I also read "I Am Legend", the one by Richard Matheson that the movie with Will Smith is based on? FOR ONCE, however rare it is, I honestly think that the movie was better than the book. The book had a much less... hm.. OPTIMISTIC ending. The guy just died and the vampire-zombies took over the world. HOW LAME. It wasn't really my kind of reading, I just borrowed it from my dad cause I had nothing to do over the weekend. On Saturday it was Independence Day and I took a break from dad-visiting to go to my mom's party around 3 with Caeli. I used to dislike family gatherings but now I kind of like them. I'm not very talkative but it's fun to listen to everyone's stories. And I even contribute.... once or twice, haha. Maybe more like once. No but there was good food. (Shish-kabobs! I mean, it wasn't even that good but for God's sake I actually ate a shish-kabob! I love how that word sounds.) And then my one uncle and aunt stayed later with their little daughter and set off bottle rockets and little spinning fireworks and stuff. It was cool. The next morning we just went to church and then I stayed at my dad's and read and cut the grass, which I opted to do rather than go to the mall with my mom and sister. Haha WOW what a strange child I am. My sister was just going shopping for a few things though, it wasn't a great expedition or anything. Yeah so then back to my mom's and we had a few friends over for dinner outside. Then we played basketball and whiffle-ball (spelling there?) and it was fun. We even ran down the street and got ice cream from the ice cream truck!! WHOA! Haha it was so fun. I slept over at Nikki's Sunday since all of this week I have vacation bible school at church every day from 9 to 12. (Nikki volunteers, too.) So that's pretty cool. At the beginning of the week it was so busy it wasn't quite as fun, but it's better now. I'm actually the official photographer (fschwhoa!) but it's not like they need many pictures taken. Mostly I help out in the "theater" thing where the kids watch these videos about this chipmunk puppet named Chadder. It's much cooler than I make it sound, I swear, haha. And then I help at crafts a little, as well. So yeps. I don't think I did anything on Monday.. I'm trying to think.. nah I didn't, other than vbs. Tuesday was vbs and then at 1 Kait and I went to the library as usual and Nikki came along. The movie they showed was "Bolt" and it was SO AWESOME, despite Miley Cyrus' terribly annoyingly recognizable voice. It was such a cute animated movie, my favorite kind. ^^ So then I got a ton of books to read and I already finished one, "The Fold" by An Na. (What a cool name!) It was about Asians, so of course I loved it. It's a given. ^^ I just finished it today, and I started the next one, which is already good. Yay! I was sick of reading books about 30 year olds having affairs and whatever. And these recent ones are about people my age for once, so they're fun to read. Hm. So finally I'm at today- Wednesday! VBS and then I went to see "The Proposal" at the theatre with Becky. From the commercials I actually thought it looked like of average/lame/didn't really care about it. But it ended up being a pretty good movie. It was funny. :] Tomorrow I have vbs and then a few of us are staying after for a mini-picnic. Then in the evening I'm going back to church for this dinner/hangout thing. The next day is the last day of vbs and so after there's this big volunteer picnic with good food so that should be fun. The weekend after this I'm going *camping* with Laura and Nikki (whoo!) so my dad somehow got me to visit him this weekend. Eh, I don't really mind. It's not too bad over there anymore. ^^ Today was a good day. Lately I've just been really worried, about nothing in particular, but I went running around my yard as usual and vacuumed and read a bunch and it made me feel better. I just don't like sitting around like a lazy butt. And I love this song in my "listening to". It was on an episode of Chuck a long time ago and whenever I hear it it makes me think of Chuck, which never fails to make me laugh, and it just cheers me up in general. Yay! Alright, I've got laundry to fold so I'd better go. I've been playing guitar more lately and I actually think I'm getting a little better. So maybe I'll play some later or draw or something. Goodbye for now, everyone! :]

A birthday is just a day, you say.
But it's a special day.
It's the day you first changed the world.
